STMicroelectronics Releases High-Precision, 36 V Dual Operational Amplifier
The new TSB192 dual op amp offers a 20 µV max offset, 8 MHz gain bandwidth product, and a 4 V to 36 V supply range, suited for industrial, power supply, and automotive designs.
STMicroelectronics has released the TSB192, a dual operational amplifier targeting applications where accuracy and supply flexibility must coexist. The device guarantees a maximum input offset voltage of ±20 µV at 25 °C, expanding to ±30 µV across the full -40°C to 125°C operating range, while supporting supply voltages anywhere from 4 V to 36 V.
TSB192 Series Dual Operational Amplifiers
The TSB192 series achieves a gain-bandwidth product of 8 MHz and a slew rate of 5 V/µs, drawing a maximum of 2.2 mA per channel over temperature. Input offset voltage drift is specified at a typical 10 nV/°C, with a maximum of 100 nV/°C, which is worth noting for designs where thermal gradients are a real concern rather than a spec-sheet afterthought.

The device features rail-to-rail output, with output swing from the negative rail as low as 21 mV (typ.) at 25 °C into a 10 kΩ load on a 5 V supply, and output swing from the positive rail as low as 11 mV under the same conditions. CMRR reaches 140 dB (typ.) at 5 V, and the equivalent input noise voltage is 11 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz, with a low-frequency figure of 250 nVpp from 0.1 to 10 Hz.
On the AC side, total harmonic distortion plus noise is 0.001% under unity-gain conditions with a 2 Vpp output, and channel separation is 150 dB at 1 kHz. These figures should satisfy most precision signal-chain requirements. ESD tolerance is rated at 2 kV HBM and 1 kV CDM per the datasheet’s absolute maximum ratings table, though the features list highlights 4 kV HBM; engineers should verify the applicable test standards for their specific application.
The TSB192 is available in two packages. The SO-8 variant and the more compact MiniSO-8, both supplied on tape and reel. The MiniSO-8 measures approximately 3 mm × 5 mm, providing designers with meaningful board space savings in space-constrained layouts.
