Waveshare AR0144 – 2MP Stereo USB Camera with Global Shutter

The Waveshare AR0144 is a 2MP Stereo USB Camera module with Global Shutter designed for depth perception and stereo vision applications. The device features a global-shutter AR0144 sensor pair with hardware frame synchronization over a single USB 2.0 connection.

The module integrates two AR0144 global-shutter sensors with a fixed 52 mm baseline and distortion-free lenses (<0.2%), delivering synchronized same-frame stereo output suitable for depth mapping and 3D vision. It supports MJPG and YUY2 formats with combined resolutions up to 2560×720 at 30 FPS and high-speed modes up to 120 FPS at reduced resolutions. Optical characteristics include a 1/4-inch sensor, F2.2 aperture, 2.88 mm focal length, and a 74° diagonal field of view. The camera connects via USB Type-C, operates at 5 V, and is driver-free, making it compatible with PCs and embedded Linux systems for robotics, machine vision, SLAM, and stereo measurement tasks.
