Article PC Watchdog – Automatic reset for remote PCs gone haywire

Today’s PCs are quite reliable, but occasionally they hang and stop functioning. Only a ‘hard reset’ will then be able to bring them back to (useful) life. This project takes care of that automatically. Especially handy with remotely located hardware! While many PCs, including servers, operate unattended and/or at a remote location, it would be very useful to have a function available for sensing a malfunction of the processor and recover the system from such a situation.
