Smart Bench Essentials Plus

Keysight’s Smart Bench Essentials Plus features a set of four core test instruments designed for professional-level electronic workbenches. These instruments are engineered to work seamlessly together, providing a comprehensive solution to elevate the workbench and enhance workflows.

Each instrument in the set plays a crucial role. The DC power supply delivers stable and reliable power while the waveform generator creates various signals for stimulating and testing devices. The digital multimeter provides precise measurements of electrical properties like voltage, current, and resistance. Finally, the oscilloscope allows for the visualization and analysis of electrical signals, which is essential for troubleshooting and design validation.

Integration, Validation, and Visualization

Beyond individual instrument capabilities, Smart Bench Essentials Plus is supported by software that streamlines the configuration, control, and automation of the instruments, helping to shorten validation time. The instruments share a common interface with visually intuitive, color-coordinated displays and standardized menus, a design choice intended to improve user experience and workflow efficiency. Built-in graphical charting tools also aim to simplify the visualization and analysis of test results directly on the devices, allowing engineers to quickly draw meaningful insights from their measurements.

For engineers, the importance of this release lies in the system’s ability to meet and exceed key industry and safety standards, including ISO/IEC 17025, IEC 61010, UL, and CSA. This rigorous testing and compliance focus is a critical consideration for teams developing products that require high degrees of quality assurance and regulatory approval.

Advancing Electronics Development

As circuits become more sophisticated, the need for instruments that offer enhanced power, expanded channel capacity, and improved precision is paramount. Smart Bench Essentials Plus aims to fulfill this need by providing a unified solution that combines high-performance hardware with user-centric software and interface design, assisting in the design, testing, troubleshooting, and qualification of electronic products.
