MYIR has unveiled the MYC-LMA35 System-On-Module (SOM), featuring the Nuvoton NuMicro MA35D1 processor (the MA35D16A887Cvariant). This advanced processor boasts dual 64-bit Arm Cortex-A35 cores capable of reaching speeds of up to 800 MHz, along with an additional 180 MHz Arm Cortex-M4 core, making it an ideal choice for high-end edge IIoT gateway applications.

The MYC-LMA35 incorporates 256MB of DDR3L memory integrated within the MA35D1 MPU, along with external storage options of either 256MB Nand Flash or 8GB eMMC, and a 32Kbit EEPROM. Crafted in an LGA package featuring a 252-pin expansion interface, it supports a vast array of peripheral and IO signals, including 17x UART, 4x CAN FD, 2x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x USB 2.0 HS, 1x SDIO3.0, 1x RGB, 1x CSI, and 2x I2S, thereby fully exploring the capabilities of the MA35D1 processor. Boasting advanced, high-speed connectivity interfaces, as well as an LCD display controller, a 2D graphics engine, and JPEG and H.264 decoders, this device is ideally suited for diverse applications such as Edge Gateways, tiny AI/ML solutions, HMI systems, industrial control, construction machinery controllers, motion controllers, OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) automotive diagnostic tools, new energy applications, and more.

MYIR also offers the MYD-LMA35 development board, specifically designed for prototyping and evaluation purposes using the NuMicro MA35D1 solutions. This board includes an expansion board centered around the MYC-LMA35 SOM, which grants access to a diverse range of peripherals via the SOM’s 252-pin LGA expansion interface. These peripherals include 6x RS232, 6x RS485, 2x USB 2.0 Host, 1x USB 2.0 OTG, 2x Gigabit Ethernet, 4x CAN, 1x Micro SD card slot, and an integrated WiFi/Bluetooth module. Additionally, the MYD-LMA35 incorporates an M.2 Socket for USB-based 4G/5G LTE Modules, accompanied by two SIM card holders. It also features an RGB display interface compatible with MYIR’s MY-LVDS070C 7-inch LCD Module, alongside a Parallel CSI interface and an audio interface. Furthermore, the board boasts a 30-pin extension interface, providing users with access to additional resources like GPIO, UART, SPI, and PWM, empowering them to customize and enhance their development projects.
