Radxa has launched the ROCK 5T, an industrial-grade Single Board Computer (SBC) powered by the Rockchip RK3588(J) processor, featuring 4x Cortex-A76 and 4x Cortex-A55 cores, an ARM Mali G610MC4 GPU, and a 6 TOPs NPU for AI applications.

It can handle 8K video encoding and decoding, making it good for powerful computing, AI tasks, and industrial use. Designed for both consumer and industrial use, it offers up to 32GBLPDDR5 RAM, onboard eMMC storage, dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports (one with optional PoE), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and multiple M.2 connectors for expansion, including support for NVMe SSDs and 4G mobile networks via SIM card integration. The SBC features multiple display outputs with simultaneous 4-display support through HDMI, DP, and MIPI DSI.

It operates across a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C), making it suitable for IoT, robotics, AI inference, networking, digital signage, and industrial automation. The company also provides comprehensive documentation and an active user community, ensuring robust support for developers and enterprises.

Previously, Radxa has introduced similar Rockchip RK3588-based SBCs including the ROCK 5 Model B, the ROCK Pi 5B, the ROCK 5C, and other SBCs. Feel free to check those out, if you are interested in this topic.

The ROCK 5T is much like the ROCK 5B+, but it has an extra 2.5GbE port, uses a separate PoE module instead of a HAT, and runs on a 12V DC power jack instead of USB-C. However, it won’t fit ROCK 5B/5B+ cases since it’s a bit larger.

The ROCK 5T comes in both commercial and industrial temperature grades, unlike the ROCK 5 ITX, which is only for commercial use. Some features from the mini-ITX board are removed, like the 24-pin ATX connector, front panel header, four SATA ports, two USB 3.1 ports, and the M.2 Key-E slot. Instead, it has built-in WiFi 6/6E, Bluetooth 5.x, a 2-pin RTC battery connector, a 24GB RAM option, a 40-pin GPIO header for Raspberry Pi HATs, and an M.2 Key-B slot with a Nano SIM for cellular use.

The ROCK 5T supports similar software, including Debian-based Radxa OS, Ubuntu, and Android. More details are available on the documentation site and product page. The commercial version is sold on Arace Tech for $139.50 (16GB RAM) and $219.50 (32GB RAM). For more info on the ROCK 5 ITX+, visit the product page.
