Radxa rCore‑Q8280 SoM based on Qualcomm Snapdragon
Radxa has introduced the rCore-Q8280, a compact Qualcomm Snapdragon SoM based on the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform (SC8280XP). The module targets edge AI, industrial terminals, mobile computing, smart terminals, multimedia processing, and other embedded applications that need high-performance computing in a small form factor.
The module uses a 5nm Snapdragon platform with an 8-core Qualcomm Kryo CPU, Adreno 690 GPU, and Qualcomm AI Engine. The CPU combines four Kryo Prime cores running at up to 3.0GHz with four Kryo Gold cores at up to 2.4GHz. The Adreno 690 GPU delivers up to 2.7 TFLOPS, while the AI Engine provides up to 29+ TOPS of AI performance. Radxa offers up to 32GB LPDDR4X memory with a 128-bit bus and data rates up to 4266 MT/s.
Previously, we covered the Radxa NX4 SoM with IO Board and the Radxa CM3J SoM based on the Rockchip RK3568J SoC. Feel free to check them out if you are interested in SoMs.
