Seeed Studio’s Wio-LR1121 is a compact multi-band LoRa module with ultra-low power LR1121 transceiver, supporting global LPWAN for IoT, smart cities, agriculture, and asset tracking.
Wio-LR1121 Wireless Module
Seeed Studio has introduced the Wio-LR1121, a compact multi-band LoRa module built for Edge and IoT developers to implement reliable, long-range wireless communication systems. Based on Semtech’s third-generation ultra-low power LR1121 LoRa transceiver, the module supports multiple frequency bands, including Sub-GHz (150–960 MHz), S-band (1.9–2.1 GHz), 2.4 GHz ISM, and L-Band (1.55 GHz), enabling global LPWAN connectivity. Its wide frequency coverage makes it suitable for diverse applications such as industrial IoT, smart agriculture, asset tracking, smart metering, and emerging satellite IoT solutions.
The Wio-LR1121 is designed specifically for IoT LoRaWAN applications with a compact form factor and ultra-low power design. It integrates a TCXO (temperature-compensated crystal oscillator) and an RF switch, making it ideal for deployment across global markets. Potential use cases include smart homes, agricultural sensors, building automation, smart cities, retail store sensors, environmental monitoring, and asset management, offering developers flexibility and scalability in a wide range of IoT projects.
