TerraMaster F4-425 Pro Hybrid NAS Features Intel N350 SoC and Dual 5GbE LAN

This compact network storage solution supports up to 152TB of storage with three M.2 slots, an AI-native TOS 7 OS, and high-speed connectivity for intense workflows.

TerraMaster has recently launched the F4-425 Pro, an upgraded 4+3 hybrid Network Attached Storage (NAS) designed for high-intensity workloads, virtual machines, and media creation. This new model supports either an Intel Core 3 N350 “Twin Lake” or an Intel Core i3-N305 “Alder Lake-N” octa-core processor, delivering desktop-class computing capabilities.

The device provides four SATA drive bays supporting 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch HDDs and SSDs (up to 32TB per drive), along with three PCIe 3.0 x1 M.2 2280 NVMe slots supporting drives up to 8TB each. This allows a maximum raw storage capacity of up to 152TB. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, JBOD, Single, TRAID, and TRAID+ configurations. Networking is handled by two 5GbE Ethernet ports with link aggregation and SMB Multichannel support, with TerraMaster specifying transfer speeds of up to approximately 1,010MB/s under suitable network conditions.

The NAS features a sturdy, low-noise footprint and includes a 90W external power adapter and various developer tools, as well as over 500 atomic RESTful API endpoints for custom Python or Node.js automation scripts.

It runs on TerraMaster’s newest TOS 7 operating system, built from the kernel up as the world’s first AI-native NAS OS. By integrating the OpenClaw AI agent, users can manage their system through natural language inputs, automating Docker deployments, photo curation, and file organization with 100% local processing. TOS 7 also introduces the BBS Proactive Defense system, which automatically isolates threats and triggers snapshots upon detecting ransomware, while HyperLock WORM technology ensures 70-year immutability for critical backups.

OpenClaw AI is TerraMaster’s local AI assistant integrated into the TOS 7 operating system.

The company also mentions that the device features OpenClaw as a built-in AI assistant integrated into the TOS 7 operating system. It provides a natural language interface for managing NAS functions, allowing users to perform tasks such as deploying Docker containers, organizing files, and automating system operations using conversational commands. The AI runs entirely on the NAS, processing requests locally without relying on cloud services, and can also be used with TOS 7’s REST APIs and Python or Node.js SDKs for custom automation.

The TerraMaster F4-425 Pro NAS is available now through the TerraMaster official store. The Intel Core i3-N305 model with 8GB of RAM is priced at a promotional $559.99 (regularly $699.99), while the Core i3-N350 variant with 16GB of RAM is available for $669.99 (regularly $799.99). All of the devices are backed by a 2-year warranty and lifetime 24/7 technical support.
