Waveshare has released the JETSON-ORIN-IO-BASE-B, a compact carrier board for the Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX modules. It is designed for AI development in robotics, vision, and autonomous systems, offering practical connectivity and expansion options.

The board features dual Ethernet ports (2.5G + 1G), two M.2 Key M slots for NVMe SSDs, and an M.2 Key E slot for wireless expansion. It includes seven USB ports, two CSI camera interfaces, and a DisplayPort output supporting a 4K display. A Raspberry Pi-like color-coded 40-pin GPIO header with I²C, SPI, UART, and GPIO devices,  with a wide 9V–19V DC input. These features make this board suitable for various applications.

The Waveshare Jetson Orin Nano / NX Base Board works with NVIDIA JetPack SDK and supports Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 for system flashing. The system can be installed using NVIDIA SDK Manager or Waveshare’s flashing scripts. JetPack includes CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, and Multimedia API for AI and GPU tasks.
