Arduino VENTUNO Q

Arduino has opened pre-orders for the Arduino VENTUNO Q, a dual-processor development board aimed at edge AI, robotics, computer vision, and industrial applications. The board combines a Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 application processor with an STM32H5 microcontroller, creating separate computing and real-time control domains on a single platform. It also ships with Ubuntu and Arduino App Lab to simplify AI and embedded application development.

The Arduino VENTUNO Q uses the Dragonwing IQ8 IQ-8275 with an octa-core Kryo CPU, Adreno 623 GPU, Spectra 692 ISP, and Hexagon NPU that delivers up to 40 dense TOPS of AI performance. An STM32H5F5 MCU with a 250MHz Cortex-M33 core manages deterministic operations such as motor control, PWM, GPIO, sensor acquisition, and CAN-FD. An RPC bridge connects the two processors, allowing Linux applications to communicate with real-time hardware functions.

Arduino VENTUNO Q specifications

The Arduino VENTUNO Q runs Ubuntu directly on the Dragonwing processor and includes an Ubuntu Pro license. Arduino App Lab provides a unified development environment for Linux applications, Arduino sketches, Python programs, and AI models. Developers can use tools such as VS Code, PyCharm, Docker, SSH, and standard Linux package managers. The STM32H5 runs Arduino Core on Zephyr RTOS, while pre-integrated Bricks support workloads such as Qwen language and vision models, Whisper speech recognition, text-to-speech, YOLOX object detection, and MediaPipe gesture recognition. Developers can also deploy models from Hugging Face or optimize custom models through Edge Impulse.
