Seeed Studio BeagleBone Green Eco SBC with TI AM3358, 16GB eMMC, Gigabit Ethernet
Features TI AM3358 Cortex-A8 @1GHz, 512MB DDR3L, 16GB eMMC, PRU-ICSS, Gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-C, Debian OS, and wide expansion for industrial automation.
Seeed Studio BeagleBone Green Eco
The industrial-grade, open-source single-board computer, Seeed Studio BeagleBone Green Eco, was developed alongside the BeagleBoard.org Foundation. The Green Eco board has the same Texas Instruments AM3358 processor as the BeagleBone Green featuring a single-core Arm Cortex-A8 processor that runs at 1 GHz with NEON SIMD extensions for accelerated media and signal processing, a 3D graphics accelerator, and a dual-core 32-bit PRU-ICSS RISC coprocessor system for real-time industrial communications and Automation & Process Control.
The Green Eco board also has 512 MB of DDR3L RAM and expanded onboard storage has been increased from 4 GB to 16 GB eMMC (four times the previous amount for the BeagleBone Green). The most significant change is the replacement of the Texas Instruments TPS65217C power management chip from the BeagleBone Green with the TI TPS6521403 PMIC with features like PFM mode and dynamic voltage scaling. In addition, USB is upgraded from USB 1.1 to USB 2.0 for both Client and Host USB, and Ethernet has been upgraded from 10/100 Mbps to Gigabit. The hardware updates include moving to USB Type-C for power and USB device communication, and a USB Type-A port for peripherals.
