WCH has recently introduced the CH32H417, a dual-core RISC-V MCU designed for high-speed embedded applications requiring advanced connectivity and peripheral integration. It features a Qingke V5F core running at 400 MHz and a V3F core at 144 MHz.
WCH has recently introduced the CH32H417, a dual-core RISC-V MCU designed for high-speed embedded applications requiring advanced connectivity and peripheral integration. It features a Qingke V5F core running at 400 MHz and a V3F core at 144 MHz.
The CH32H417 supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 with 5 Gbps PHY, USB 2.0, and USB Type-C with Power Delivery (source/sink). It also integrates 10/100M Ethernet MAC and PHY, along with a SerDes-based UHSIF interface supporting up to 500MB/s. Peripheral options include SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, SDIO, and DVP. Audio and display interfaces include I²S, SAI, LTDC, and DFSDM. The MCU offers 960KB flash, 896KB SRAM, 128KB ITCM, and 256KB DTCM. Analog features include two 12-bit ADCs, DACs, comparators, and op-amps. It also provides hardware cryptography, RNG, and extensive GPIO support.
You might be wondering, what is a SerDes-based UHSIF interface? It’s a high-speed serial communication interface on the CH32H417 MCU that supports data transfer rates up to 500MB/s. It uses SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) technology to convert parallel data into a fast serial stream, enabling efficient communication over fewer lines. UHSIF is designed for high-bandwidth applications like camera modules, FPGAs, or high-speed data acquisition systems where standard interfaces like SPI would be too slow.

The CH32H417 is supported by WCH’s MounRiver Studio IDE, which provides a complete development environment with GCC-based toolchain, debugger support, and code generation tools. The official SDK includes peripheral drivers, middleware, and application examples for key features such as USB 3.2, Ethernet, UHSIF, and camera interfaces. The MCU supports FreeRTOS for real-time task management and is compatible with OpenOCD for debugging over JTAG or SWD. WCH also provides board support packages and documentation to help developers quickly start building embedded applications.
As of June 2025, Patrick Yang introduced the CH32H417 on X, formerly Twitter. Development boards are expected to become available on AliExpress within two weeks, though pricing has not yet been disclosed.
