CLT03-1SC3 Digital Input Current Limiter

STMicroelectronics’ CLT03-1SC3 is an industrial digital input current limiter that converts a 24 V digital industrial input to a 3 mA (typ) current for driving optical isolators or non-isolated LVTTL digital input termination.

Features

• Type 1 and Type 3 inputs with minimum power dissipation
• Self-powered, eliminating the need for an external field-side power supply
• No power consumption in off state
• Able to interface high side or low side sensors (sinking or sourcing inputs)
• Optocoupler and CMOS compatible interfaces
• Wide input voltage range, up to 60 V
• Configurable test pulse generator for safety applications
• Complies with IEC 61000-4-2: ±2 kV contact and ±4 kV air
• Tiny 8-lead SOT23 package
