At CES 2026, Orbbec unveiled two innovative products that will further the field of robotic vision: the Gemini 305, an incredibly small stereo 3D camera designed especially for robotic wrist mounting, and the Gemini 345Lg, a robust stereo vision camera designed to survive in harsh conditions. The Gemini 305g adds a GMSL2 serializer and an FAKRA connector with extremely flexible, low-loss cabling to the Gemini 305’s sophisticated visual perception capabilities. This allows for dependable cable routing under twisting and bending in robotic arm applications.

A small stereo vision 3D camera designed for robotic wrist mounting is called the Gemini 305. It has a wide field of view, extensive preset imaging modes, and an ultra-close depth and color imaging capability of 4 cm (1.5 inches). These allow it to supply visual information for grasping and recognition in industrial flexible manipulation scenarios, humanoid robot hands, and cooperative robot arms. The Gemini 305 has an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashes. The camera has a broad field of view, real-time megapixel depth and color output, and global shutter sensors for dynamic scenes. Diverse application needs are supported by its unique decoupled depth-color design, dual-channel color capture, and reliable ISP imaging results. Gemini 305 has several preset data-stream modes, including one-click switching between “color + depth” and “dual RGB” outputs, to further support a variety of workloads.

Previously, Orbbec introduced other 3D vision cameras such as the Gemini 335Lg and Persee N1. Feel free to check them out if you’re interested.

The Gemini 345Lg is a robust stereo vision camera with a broad field of view that is intended for outdoor robotics. It maintains steady performance in extreme heat, cold, and vibration thanks to its IP67-rated protection and broad operating temperature capability from -20°C to 65°C. It provides high-quality depth data that facilitates accurate navigation and obstacle avoidance in challenging environments thanks to a GMSL2 serializer and an FAKRA connector. The camera consistently produces high-quality depth data, offering dependable 3D vision for commercial lawn mowers, inspection robots, outdoor logistics vehicles, and other scenarios, whether in complete darkness at night or under intense midday sunlight exceeding 100 klux. Up to eight Gemini 345Lg units synchronized to a single host system were used by Orbbec to demonstrate multi-camera operation.
