Palit Unveils Pandora, a Small AI Edge Computer with NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX for Robotics and IoT
Palit has introduced Pandora, a compact AI computer powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX Super, available in 8GB and 16GB configurations with 117 and 157 AI TOPS, respectively. Measuring 123mm x 145mm x 66mm and weighing 470g, designers created it for space-constrained environments, featuring an active cooling system for reliable performance.
Pandora is used for smart retail, education, robotics, and generative AI. It offers extensive connectivity with dual 1G Ethernet ports, four USB ports, HDMI 2.0, audio I/O, and MIPI inputs. It comes with a pre-installed 128GB SSD and supports expandability through four M.2 slots for SSDs, Wi-Fi, and 5G/LTE modules.

Additionally, it has a 14-pin UART, CAN bus for industrial use, and a removable base for easy changes. 3D-printed cases for custom projects can be made by developers, which is great for testing ideas. Software built-in helps manage devices, check performance, and fix issues quickly, making things run smoother with less downtime.
Previously, IBASE Technology launched its latest EC3500 edge AI computing system based on NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, which has features similar to Pandora. We have previously covered Nvidia’s Jetson Xavier, an AI Computer designed for robots, drones, and other autonomous machines that need maximum computing at the edge to run modern AI workloads.

According to the company, different fields like retail and education use Pandora. In retail, customer data is analyzed and ads that fit their needs are shown, making it easier for customers to be connected with by businesses. In education, students are helped to learn by objects being recognized and things being read out loud. This makes learning more fun and accessible, especially for STEM subjects.
Developers can create custom AI models for specific industry tasks using the NVIDIA AI software stack, with support from Palit’s partner YUAN. Pandora also works seamlessly with the NVIDIA Isaac and ROS2 platforms, providing flexible I/O options and expandability. This makes applications like assembly line automation, warehouse management, and autonomous navigation in AI-powered robotics ideal.
