Versatile Link Fiber-Optic Receiver
HBBR-2521Z Fiber Link is able to receive TTL data up to 5Mbaud@53meter distance. It uses a 5V supply and it has High EMI immunity and voltage isolation.
This module enables users to create a versatile fiber-optic link for applications requiring a low-cost solution. This receiver module receives data through a fiber-optic link and outputs standard TTL-level signals. It supports transmission distances of up to 19 meters with standard fiber-optic cable and up to 53 meters with enhanced cable.
Operating from a 5V power supply, the receiver supports data rates of up to 5 Mbaud. Typical applications include systems that require voltage isolation/insulation, EMI/RFI immunity, or improved data security. The optical link design is simplified by the use of logic-compatible receivers and the availability of complete specifications for each component.
Receiver include a monolithic DC-coupled, digital IC receiver with an open collector Schottky output transistor. An internal pull-up resistor is available. A shield has been integrated into the receiver IC to provide additional, localized noise immunity. Internal optics have been optimized for use with 1-mm diameter polymer optical fibre. Versatile Link specifications incorporate all connector interface losses. Therefore, optical calculations for common link applications are simplified.
The design incorporates the HBBR-2521Z receiver module, which supports data rates up to 5 Mbaud. For applications requiring other speeds, refer to the provided table for alternative modules that support both lower and higher data rates.
