Once when I was dealing with home broadband, I suddenly had an idea: could I connect W5500 to a Gigabit switch? So I ordered a w5500 chip from Dasenic, which was relatively cheap, for the purpose of trying.

When I used the W5500 chip to connect to a Gigabit switch, the communication failed, but it was normal after using a 100M switch. I don’t understand the reason for the failure. Is it due to the settings?

However, I think that Gigabits are now backward compatible, and most of them are adaptive, which is the so-called auto-negotiation protocol, so I think it is caused by the circuit or some program that is not configured properly? Have you encountered this problem? Welcome to discuss
