
Stereolabs ZED Box Mini “Super” Launches with NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano/NX SoMs for Vision AI and Robotics

Stereolabs has unveiled the ZED Box Mini “Super”, a compact and affordable vision AI mini PC (ECU) designed for robotics and smart infrastructure. It’s powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano or NX system-on-module and includes dual GMSL2 camera inputs with synchronization trigger I/O, enabling precise, high-performance AI vision applications.
Available in four configurations—from Orin Nano 4GB to Orin NX 16GB—the system supports Super Mode, delivering up to 157 TOPS of AI compute. It’s optimized for the new ZED SDK 5.0 and the upcoming Terra AI foundation model, achieving up to 4x faster vision AI processing on Orin Nano and NX.
Key features include a 256GB SSD, HDMI 1.4/2.1 video output, Gigabit Ethernet, and an optional Intel AX201 Wi-Fi module with dual external antennas. The device also offers a USB 3.0 port, a micro USB for OS flashing, and a 10-pin GPIO header with CAN Bus and UART for flexible expansion.

The ZED Box Mini ships with a power supply, two sync connectors (no cables provided), a micro USB to USB cable, and two Wi-Fi antennas (if Wi-Fi is selected at the time of order). The NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super with Jetpack 6.2 introduces a key enhancement: the new MAXN SUPER and 25W reference power modes to increase computational power and flexibility.
Software-wise, the AI PC ships with Jetpack 6.2 based on Ubuntu 22.04 running on the Jetson Orin module. and the company provides the ZED SDK 5.0 and GMSL2 camera drivers. More information available on their documentation page.
