Sipeed has surprisingly introduced yet another Tang Nano FPGA board based on the Gowin GW1NR-9 chip. This time, the manufacturer has pushed the limits to around 9K (8640) logic units (LUT4), unlike the predecessor Tang Nano 1K and Tang Nano 4K with around 1152 and 4608 LUTs respectively....

There had been a spoiler by Sipeed a few weeks back about the testing of yet another Tang Nano board. Yes, you are right, this is not the first Tang Nano board by Sipeed, but the first version came two years ago as a $5 development board built around Gowin GW1N-1 LittleBee FPGA....

FPGA Boards have grown to become one of the "favorites" of the Embedded community. They feature in all kind of applications ranging from automation to DIY Applications, however, typical FPGA boards still cost way more than some other popular boards like the Arduino Microcontroller boards...
