AAEON Unveils BOXER-6407-TWL Fanless Mini PC with Intel Twin Lake SoC
A compact industrial system with DDR5 support, dual LAN ports, and wide-temperature operation targets automation, signage, and legacy system upgrades.
AAEON has recently introduced the BOXER-6407-TWL, a slim, fanless mini PC built around Intel’s Twin Lake processor family. Designed for industrial and embedded applications, the system focuses on reliability, compact size, and support for both modern and legacy interfaces.

Ultra-Slim Design with Robust Performance
The BOXER-6407-TWL has a slim 30mm chassis with a fanless design for passive cooling. AAEON mentions that it is about 35% thinner than its previous ultra-slim Min PCs, making it suitable for installations with limited space.
The system is powered by either the Intel Processor N150 (up to 3.6 GHz) or the Intel Processor N250 (up to 3.8 GHz), both with a 6W TDP. It supports up to 32GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM memory and provides NVMe storage through an M.2 2280 M-Key slot.
Modern Hardware with Legacy Connectivity
Upgrading older machinery with a newer system can disrupt existing workflows, so AAEON has included both legacy and modern I/O, and now it feates a HDMI (up to 4K @ 60Hz) and VGA for display output, along with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports based on Intel I210-AT controllers.

The system also includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, three USB 2.0 ports, and two DB-9 ports supporting RS-232/422/485. For expansion, it features an M.2 2230 E-Key slot for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and an M.2 3052 B-Key slot with SIM support for 4G LTE or 5G connectivity.
Engineered for the Factory Floor
The BOXER-6407-TWL is built for industrial use and can operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C when paired with wide-temperature memory and storage. It is rated for 50G shock and 3 Grms vibration, basically harsh industrial operating conditions. The system also includes a TPM 2.0 module for hardware-level security and uses a 12V DC input with a lockable connector for stable power delivery.
Availability and Software Support
The device supports Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 IoT, and Ubuntu 24.04 or newer. It is offered as a barebone system on the AAEON eShop and includes wall-mount brackets, a power adapter, and mounting screws.
Pricing has not been widely detailed for all configurations, but similar Twin Lake systems are typically in the $500 range. Users who need a fully assembled system with pre-installed memory, storage, and OS can request custom configurations from AAEON.
