ASRock has introduced the iEP-7040E series, a lineup of fanless industrial IoT controllers powered by Intel’s 15th Gen Core Ultra 200H processors. These controllers feature up to 16 cores (6P+8E+2LPE), 16 threads, Intel Arc Graphics, and an integrated NPU, delivering advanced AI capabilities, high-performance graphics, and robust connectivity for next-generation edge computing.

Designed for seamless industrial integration, the iEP-7040E series offers high-speed connectivity with support for 4G LTE, 5G (available in 5LAN-5G and 5G-WIFI SKUs), Wi-Fi 7/6E (available in Basic, PoE, 5LAN-WIFI, 5G-WIFI, and 8DIO SKUs), and Bluetooth 5.4 RF options.

The ASRock iEP-7040E series combines AI-optimized CPU, GPU, and NPU technologies, making it ideal for intelligent automation, computer vision, and real-time industrial applications. Depending on the variant, it supports either 4x DI/4x DO or 8x DI/8x DO with 36V isolation, up to 96GB DDR5 5600MHz with In-Band ECC (IBECC), and Intel In-Band Manageability with TPM 2.0 for enhanced security and reliability.

The iEP-7040E series is available in multiple SKUs, each designed to meet different connectivity and I/O requirements. It includes optional AC-to-DC adapters depending on the SKU. The Basic, 5LAN, 5G and 8DIO SKUs come with a 120W adapter that supports a 100-240V AC input and a 19V, 6.32A DC output, while the PoE SKU requires a higher-power 330W adapter with a 100-240V AC input and a 24V, 13.75A DC output.

ASRock’s industrial IoT controllers support Windows 11 and Linux, with additional resources available on the company’s download center page. Previously, we covered similar fanless industrial IoT controllers, including the Cincoze DA-1200, which features an entry-level Intel N97 CPU, and the Vecow ECX-4000, a fanless Edge AI system powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200S processor.
