The carrier board is built on the NVIDIA Jetson software stack and is fully compatible with the Jetson T5000 module. It is supported by the NVIDIA JetPack SDK, which includes an Ubuntu-based Linux OS, board support packages (BSP), device drivers, CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, multimedia APIs, and camera frameworks.

This software environment enables developers to run AI inference, computer vision, robotics, and multimedia workloads out of the box. It also provides a standard Linux toolchain, container support through Docker, and OTA update capabilities, making the X242 well suited for developing and deploying production-ready embedded AI systems.

The Auvidea X242 carrier board is listed on the company’s official webshop at approximately €599 to €799, excluding VAT and shipping, depending on the hardware revision and configuration. Availability varies based on stock levels and production batches, as the board is primarily sold directly to business customers, with lead times and export conditions differing by region.
