Axiomtek Releases the 10.4” and 12.1” Touch Panel PCs – GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837

Axiomtek – a world-renowned leader relentlessly devoted in the research, development, and manufacture of series of innovative and reliable industrial computer products of high efficiency – is pleased to introduce the GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837, the EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 certified 10.4-inch and 12.1-inch fanless touch panel PCs for train control and rail signaling. Featuring sunlight-readable technology and auto-dimming function, the GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837 are readable even under intense sunlight and in dark environments. Both transportation-certified panel PCs have an IP65-rated aluminum front bezel for dust-proof plus water-resistant; furthermore, they have a full range DC power input from 24 to 110 VDC and an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C. For safety concerns, they also can endure a 20ms power interruption (EN 50155 Class S3) from an unexpected power outage. The GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837 are specifically designed to serve the complex needs of the railway industry and operate reliably under extreme conditions such as major temperature fluctuations and vibration.

The GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837 are powered by the quad-core Intel® Atom™ processor E3845 (codename: (Bay Trail). The GOT710S-837 has a 10.4-inch SVGA TFT LCD display with a resistive touchscreen and 1000 nits of brightness. In addition, the GOT710S-837 offers alternative keypads on the front bezel for easy control or cleaning purposes. The GOT712S-837 is equipped with a 12.1-inch XGA TFT LCD display with 1024 x 768 resolution and 800 nits of brightness. In addition, both panel PCs have a 4GB onboard DDR3L memory, as well as 16 GB onboard flash and one mSATA port for extensive storage.

Advanced Features:

  • Sunlight readable 10.4″ SVGA TFT LCD with 1000 nits of brightness (GOT710S-837)
  • Sunlight readable 12.1″ XGA TFT LCD with 800 nits of brightness (GOT712S-837)
  • Intel® Atom™ processor E3845 1.91 GHz
  • Alternative keypad control in the front bezel (GOT710S-837)
  • M12-type lockable connectors design
  • Auto-dimming for different environments
  • -40°C to +70°C wide temperature range
  • Typical 24 to 110VDC power input, EN 50155 (Class S3) 20ms power interruption protection
  • EN 50155, EN 45545-2 certified for railway applications

“Axiomtek’s sunlight-readable GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837 are engineered specifically for use in railway applications such as driver-machine interface (DMI) and rolling stock control systems. Mounted in the locomotive, these fanless rugged touch panel computers provide drivers with improved safety control and optimized decision making based on the collection and analysis of all relevant data,” said Jane Chen, the product manager of TIOT Product PM Division at Axiomtek. “In accordance with strictest safety standards for railway operations, both panel PCs are equipped with M12-type lockable connectors to provide anti-vibration connections and have an IP65-rated aluminum front bezel for liquid spillage and dust ingress protection.”

The GOT710S-837 and GOT712S-837 support a variety of transportation communication protocols to serve the complex needs of the railway industry including two isolated M12 A-coded RS-232/422/485 ports, two isolated M12 X-coded GbE LAN ports, one M12 A-coded USB 2.0 port, one M12 A-coded DC-in, one DB15 audio (line-in/out), one isolated terminal block DIO (6-in/2-out) port and one isolated DB9 CANbus port. For flexible communication, they reserve two PCI Express Mini Card slots for wireless connectivity. Moreover, both panel PCs offer flexible mounting options including wall mounting, VESA mounting and suspension mounting. Windows® 10, 8 and 7 operating systems are also available.
