Forgix Raspberry Pi Development Board
Adiuvo Engineering has introduced the Forgix, a compact Raspberry Pi development board that combines the Raspberry Pi RP2354 microcontroller with an Efinix Trion T8 FPGA. Designed in a Teensy-inspired form factor, the board targets developers who want to combine traditional microcontroller programming with programmable logic in a single, compact platform. Despite its small 36 × 18 mm footprint, the board includes onboard flash, PSRAM, USB-C connectivity, and debugging support.
The combination of the RP2354 MCU and Trion T8 FPGA allows developers to split workloads between software and hardware. The RP2354 handles firmware, communication, and peripheral control, while the FPGA enables custom digital logic, signal processing, and hardware acceleration. This approach makes the board suitable for embedded development, hardware prototyping, custom interfaces, and educational FPGA projects.

Adiuvo Engineering provides open-source resources to help developers start working with the board. The company has released KiCad hardware design files, PDF schematics, RP2354 firmware written in C, a Python-based bitstream loader, and a Plasma LED reference RTL project for the Efinity development environment. While the official documentation remains limited, these resources give developers access to the complete hardware design and software stack for customization and experimentation.
