Auto-Reset – Electronic Circuit Breaker using LT1153
https://www.electronics-lab.com/project/auto-reset-electronic-circuit-breaker-using-lt1153/
This project is a precise, low-cost electronic circuit breaker based on the LT1153 chip and an N-channel MOSFET. It protects loads by tripping for ∼200ms and then auto-resetting until the fault clears. The trip current, delay, and auto-reset period are fully programmable.
Fault Protected High Side Switch
https://www.electronics-lab.com/project/fault-protected-high-side-switch/
This project uses the LT1910 high-side switch to protect a load from over-current. It automatically shuts off, flags the fault, waits 150 ms, and attempts to restart. The current trip point is set via selectable shunt resistors.
Variable Over-Current Detection Load Switch
https://www.electronics-lab.com/project/variable-over-current-detection-load-switch/
This over-current latch load switch provides over-current protection, thermal shutdown protection, soft-start function, and low power OFF function. The Overcurrent protection function is activated when the load is shorted. This protection function is effective in preventing damage due to sudden and unexpected incidents. It is also equipped with an error flag notification pin which indicates […]
Overcurrent / Over-discharge Protector for Lead Acid Batteries
https://www.electronics-lab.com/project/overcurrent-over-discharge-protector-for-lead-acid-batteries/
The project described here protects and monitors a Lead-Acid battery against too-low battery voltage and over-current conditions. The circuit consists of MAX4373 current-sense amplifier with internal dual comparators and P-channel MOSFET in series with the battery and its load. It works as a normally closed switch which can be opened if the current-sense amplifier and […]
