Quectel FCM365X Is A Tri-Radio Wi-Fi 6, BLE 5.4 & 802.15.4 Module

Powered by the NXP RW612 wireless MCU, this ultra-compact tri-radio IoT device delivers multi-protocol connectivity and hardware security for smart environments.



Quectel has launched the FCM365X, a compact short-range wireless module based on the NXP RW612 wireless MCU. The module combines dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.4, and IEEE 802.15.4 connectivity for Thread and Zigbee, targeting smart home, industrial IoT, and Matter-ready applications.

The LCC + LGA module integrates a 260 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor with TrustZone, 1.2MB SRAM, 8MB flash, and optionally 8MB PSRAM. It supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3 security, AES-128 encryption, and operates from -40°C to +85°C. The module measures 25.5 × 18.0 × 3.16 mm and can be ordered with either a PCB antenna or an RF coaxial connector.

The FCM365X targets smart home and industrial IoT applications

One notable point is that although Quectel’s original product page mentioned support for both QuecOpen and AT commands, a Quectel support engineer later clarified on the company’s forum that this was incorrect. The FCM365X is currently intended for SDK-based firmware development with QuecOpen, and developers who require AT-command firmware should consider another module.

Quectel also lists several hardware variants, including models with optional PSRAM, PCB antenna, or IPEX connector, as well as development boards such as the FCM365XABTB-0P-08.

It looks like the FCM365X joins a growing ecosystem of NXP RW612-powered wireless modules, as we previously covered the Murata Type 2FR/2FP  tri-radio IoT module, which also uses the same RW612 chip.

Quectel has published a product brief and announced the module, but pricing has not been disclosed. More information can be found on the company’s product page and press release.
