UniPi Edge E410 Industrial Controller Powered by Raspberry Pi CM4

A compact DIN-rail controller offering analog/digital I/O, dual Ethernet, LTE/GNSS options, TPM 2.0, and expansion support for modern building and industrial automation.

UniPi Technology, a Czech company known for designing programmable logic controllers, gateways, sensors, and automation systems, has introduced the Edge E410 controller based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). The DIN-rail device targets building automation, HVAC control, energy management, and industrial monitoring by combining PLC, RTU, IPC, and IoT/IIoT gateway functions in a compact enclosure.

The Edge E410 is powered by the CM4’s quad-core Arm Cortex-A72 processor and supports up to 8 GB RAM and up to 32 GB eMMC storage, depending on the version. Its main distinction comes from its I/O capabilities, offering two RS485 ports, four digital inputs, two digital outputs, five analog inputs, dual Ethernet ports, and optional LTE, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, and GNSS connectivity.

TPM 2.0, a hardware watchdog, memory retention, user LEDs, and a real-time clock are among the features incorporated into the Unipi Edge E410. Unipi’s Base OS, a Debian-based distribution that facilitates custom OS images and Secure Boot configuration during production, is installed on the E410. Additional digital, analog, or communication interfaces can be readily added to a deployment solely due to the design’s ability to accommodate expansion with the aid of Unipi’s xS module line. The company’s Knowledge Base additionally provides more firmware images and manuals.

The Unipi Edge E410 (1 GB RAM, 8 GB eMMC) costs $473.47. Additionally, Unipi showcases custom configurations, enabling variations with varying RAM and eMMC capacities in addition to optional GNSS, LTE, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules. Users may come across some additional information on the product page.
