Crocus Technology CT110 XtremeSense® Sensors

Crocus Technology CT110 XtremeSense® Sensors

Crocus Technology CT110 XtremeSense® Sensors are high linearity and high-resolution contact current sensor with isolation. The CT110 Sensors are designed with patented state-of-the-art XtremeSense TMR technology resulting in high performance. The CT110 measures the current flowing through the DFN package via its integrated Current-Carrying Conductor (CCC) and converts it to an analog ratio-metric output voltage representing the current. Additionally, the CT110 delivers superior performance with a typical total output error of less than ±0.5% and a capability of sensing current as low as 5mA providing unmatched resolution.

The Crocus Technology CT110 XtremeSense Sensors simplify design, PCB layout and save PCB area. The device can support up to +15.0A of AC and DC, making it ideal for replacing shunt resistors plus isolation amplifiers.

The CT110 features a sampling frequency of 200kHz but only has a minimal current consumption of 1.2mA to bias it since the measured current does not go through the device. Furthermore, the CT110 integrates a FLAG output that is active LOW and will indicate when an over-current event occurs.
