The EDATEC ED-SBC3300 Motherboard for Raspberry Pi CM5 remains largely unchanged apart from the use of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5), with the same software support for Raspberry Pi OS 32-bit/64-bit Lite/Desktop provided alongside necessary drivers. However, the CM5 introduces some issues not present with the CM4, including the unavailability of RS485 functionality without manual modification by EDATEC upon request, slower read speeds for certain mSATA SSDs, and limited usability of RS232 ports, with only JCOM1 and JCOM2 functioning normally while software work is ongoing for JCOM3 to JCOM6.
EDATEC offers the ED-SBC3310-10432-PH and ED-SBC3310-10832-PH Raspberry Pi CM5 motherboards with WiFi, Bluetooth, 4GB/8GB RAM, 32GB eMMC, PoE, and a heatsink on AliExpress for $233 and $275. More information about the product can be found on the products page.
