Melexis MLX90397 Micropower Triaxis 3D Magnetometer

Melexis MLX90397 Micropower Triaxis 3D Magnetometer

Melexis MLX90397 Micropower Triaxis® 3D Magnetometer is a position sensor IC featuring Triaxis® Hall Technology and optimized for battery-powered designs. The MLX90397 measures magnetic fields along the three axis X, Y, and Z (Y being in a plane parallel to the surface of the die, Z being perpendicular to the surface). These measurements and the IC temperature are converted into 16-bit words, which are transferred upon request over an I2C communication channel. The device transmits compensated raw measurement data of the selected Bx, By, Bz, or a combination. The MLX90397 is designed for position sensor applications with a ±50mT range and an adaptative range on Bz of ±200mT.

The Melexis MLX90397 Micropower Triaxis 3D Magnetometer is housed in a compact 2.0mm x 2.5mm UTDFN-8 package ideal for space-constrained applications.
