MoreSense MS-07 Air Quality Monitor with ESP32-S3 and SEN66
ESP32-S3-based air quality monitor with SEN66 sensor, touchscreen UI, MQTT, REST API, and local data logging support.
MoreSense MS-07 Air Quality Sensor
The MoreSense MS-07 indoor air quality monitor is based on the Sensirion SEN66 multisensor, an ESP32-S3 microcontroller and a 3.5-inch capacitive IPS touchscreen for local data visualization and control. At the heart of the MS-07 is the Sensirion SEN66 multi-sensor, a high-end module capable of measuring a broad spectrum of environmental parameters.
MS-07 also measures particulate matter of various sizes (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.0 and PM10) as well as basic temperature and humidity, CO₂, nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This is so much better than many DIY builds with cheaper or one-use sensors. MS-07 believes in privacy and local control. The device is generally used in homes, offices and indoor environment for air quality tracking and pollution metrics in real time.

MoreSense MS-07 uses the Sensirion SEN66 multisensor with Automatic Self-Calibration (ASC) that tracks the lowest CO₂ level over a period of 6.5 days and uses that as a 420 PPM fresh air baseline, with options for manual calibration with a custom reference value or outdoor air; the sensor is also rated for over 10 years of life. Measurements are automatically saved to CSV files on both internal storage and a microSD card with enough capacity to store more than a year of history. Such long-term tracking can be very useful to identify trends or to diagnose persistent air quality issues within indoor environments. Users can set their own thresholds on each metric that will trigger audible alerts or HTTP requests when limits are exceeded.
MS-07 Web UI
The ESP32-S3 firmware has a built-in web server where users can connect from any browser on the local network to a dashboard to view live gauges, analyze up to 1 year of historical data, change settings, and perform OTA firmware updates. It also supports MQTT and MQTT(S) with TLS for secure messaging and a REST API (HTTP GET) for direct data access, so you can integrate it with Home Assistant, Domoticz and Homey without the need for any cloud services. Users can set custom critical (red) and warning (orange) thresholds for each measured parameter for automation. Power is delivered by an integrated 3,180 mAh lithium-ion battery, offering around 10 hours of continuous operation, plus an Eco-mode that significantly increases runtime by decreasing the measurement frequency.
The MoreSense MS-07 is available on Tindie for $199.00 or Lectronz for $197.68. It ships from the Netherlands (shipping starts at $15) and includes a 2-meter USB-A-to-USB-C cable. The device also features a 1-year warranty and a “no good, money back guarantee.
