Quectel i.MX 9 Industrial AIoT Modules Remove RF Complexity for Matter Gateways

Quectel’s new i.MX 9 AIoT modules integrate Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and 802.15.4 to simplify Matter border routers and industrial edge designs.

Quectel SRG091X and SRG093X AIOT modules for Matter Gateways

Quectel SRG091X and SRG093X are low-power industrial AIoT modules based on NXP’s i.MX 9 series, designed to simplify the development of Matter-ready edge devices. The modules integrate Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and IEEE 802.15.4 radios on a single certified 46 × 41.5 mm LGA/LCC package, making it easy to build Matter-compliant Border, Routers, and smart gateways without RF design or coexistence complexity.

Both the modules use the IW610G tri-radio chipset, but differ in compute capabilities, where the SRG091X is based on the single-core NXP i.MX 91 Cortex-A55 SoC, whereas the SRG093X features the dual-core NXP i.MX 93 with an additional Cortex-M33 real-time core and a 0.5 TOPS Arm Ethos-U65 NPU for edge AI. They support up to 2GB LPDDR4/LPDDR4X memory, up to 256GB eMMC storage, and optional SPI NAND flash. Connectivity and I/O options include dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, CAN-FD, and various serial interfaces, along with multiple display outputs, camera, audio, and up to 94 GPIOs. The modules are rated for industrial operation from –40°C to +85°C, which makes them suitable for scalable, secure, and production-ready industrial and smart-edge applications.
