ESP32-S3 Smart 86 Box integrates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, touch display, audio, and AI voice support for smart home and industrial control applications
Waveshare has recently introduced ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-4B, an ESP32-S3-powered Smart 86 Box designed for smart home, industrial control, and HMI applications. It features a 4-inch 480×480 IPS touch display supporting 5-point capacitive touch, various sensors, and AI support. An all-in-one platform for rapid development of IoT, interactive control, and other smart living and automation scenarios.
The board features 16MB Flash, 8MB PSRAM, and various peripherals, including an ES8311 audio codec, ES7210 echo cancellation chip, QMI8658 6-axis IMU, AXP2101 PMIC, and PCF85063 RTC. It supports AI voice with support from Doubao and DeepSeek. On top of that, it features dual USB Type-C ports for programming and power, microphone and speaker interfaces, and lithium battery charging support. The device also includes an I²C-based touch controller, GPIO expansion, and low-power control functions, making it ideal for developing smart switches, home terminals, and industrial IoT dashboards.

ESP32-S3 Smart 86 Box Hardware Overview
The ESP32-S3 Smart 86 Box works with ESP-IDF, Arduino, and MicroPython. It also supports the LVGL graphics library for touchscreen interfaces on the 4-inch display. The board can connect to AI and cloud services such as Doubao and DeepSeek for voice and AI features.
