
Radxa Dragon Q6A Edge AI SBC with Qualcomm QCS6490 Octa-core Kryo 670 SoC Targets Raspberry Pi Alternatives
Radxa has unveiled the upcoming Raspberry Pi-style single-board computer (SBC) to meet the demands of on-device Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML and AI) workloads. Powered by a Qualcomm QCS6490 octa-core Kyro 670 SoC, the Radxa Dragon Q6A is a credit card-sized development board designed for industrial IoT, Edge Intelligence, and smart terminal scenarios. With four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, the SoC also offers an Adreno 634L graphics processor, an Adreno 633 vision processor, a Spectra image signal processor, a Hexagon digital signal processor, and a “Qualcomm AI Engine” developing 12 TOPS AI NPU.
The board also features up to 16GB LPDDR5 memory, an M.2 Key-M socket for SSD storage, a Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless module, a MicroSDXC card reader, a connector for an eMMC or UFS flash module, and a 40-pin Raspberry Pi-compatible general-purpose input/output (GPIO) header.
