AAEON COM-MTHC6 COM Express Type 6 Computer-on-Module Features Intel Core Ultra Series Processors with Up to 96GB RAM and 4K Display Support
AAEON has recently launched the COM-MTHC6, a compact COM Express Type 6 Computer-on-Module designed for high-performance embedded computing applications. Measuring 95mm x 95mm, it supports Intel Core Ultra 9, 7, and 5 processors (Meteor Lake-U/H), making it suitable for demanding tasks with up to 16 cores and 22 threads.
The module supports DDR5 5600MHz SODIMM RAM (up to 96GB), integrated Intel Arc graphics, and quad-display output via VGA, LVDS, eDP, and three DisplayPort interfaces. It’s equipped with robust I/O including USB 2.0 x8, USB 3.2 Gen 2 x4, SATA 6Gbps x2, and PCIe Gen 4 lanes, as well as 2.5GbE LAN via Intel I226. The module features onboard NVMe storage option, dual UART, GPIO, MIPI CSI camera interface, and TPM 2.0 security.
It supports both AT and ATX power types (9V~16V) and is operable between 0°C and 60°C. The COM-MTHC6 is mostly used in things like factory machines, medical devices, smart tech at the edge (like cameras or sensors), and other systems that need fast and reliable performance. It gives a flexible setup for new tech that needs to fit in compact spaces but still do a lot of work.
Previously, AAEON introduced other COM Express modules such as the COM-R2KC6, the NanoCOM-ADN and the NanoCOM-RAP type 10 form factor module. Compared to those, the COM-MTHC6 is the first of AAEON’s Computer-on-Modules to utilize the new Intel platform.

The PCB of the COM-MTHC6 design remains consistent across all variants, but the 28W model lacks one of the inductor/PMIC units found in the 45W version. The image also highlights the module both with and without a PHISON BGA SSD installed.
In terms of OS support, Windows 11 64-bit and Ubuntu 24.04 with Linux Kernel 6.8 are suitable for this computer-on-module. Their AI Software Development Kit allows one-click setup of the Intel OpenVINO Toolkit, helping accelerate NPU testing and AI model deployment. It appears to come preinstalled on the module and isn’t available as a public download.

At the time of writing, the COM-MTHC6 modules like this aren’t usually sold online. AAEON offers sample units through its eShop, priced between $700 and $924 based on the processor choice. The product page also includes resources like the datasheet, user manual, BIOS, and drivers for both Windows and Linux.
