The Topaz Tz170 J484 FPGA Development Kit from Efinix is a compact FPGA evaluation platform built around the Efinix Tz170 FPGA for evaluating and prototyping. This FPGA is built around a low-power, high-density 16 nm Quantum fabric and comes in a compact 484-ball FineLine BGA package. It integrates onboard memory, configurable I/O, and a preloaded reference design, providing a practical setup for testing and demonstration across a range of FPGA applications.

The FPGA devkit supports hardware-level MIPI D-PHY with data rates of up to 2 Gbps per lane. It also incorporates a hardened LPDDR4 controller designed for high-speed memory access. Additionally, it includes a MicroSD card slot, dual SPI NOR flash memories, and high-speed QSE connectors for Efinix or custom daughter cards. An FMC connector with a low pin-count interface allows further extension using FPGA mezzanine cards.
