ALPON X4 CM4 edge computer specifications

The ALPON X4 operates on its own custom release of Raspberry Pi OS Lite 64-bit Bookworm, the IoT and industry-optimized Linux distribution. Built on the Broadcom BCM2711 SoC featuring a quad-core Cortex-A72 processor, it features an OS with core utility tools for cellular communication, network and device control, application and container installation, API integration support, and VPN setup. Emphasis is laid on system integrity to ensure the stability and consistency of operation across connected environments.

Comprehensive documentation is provided for integration and deployment. It talks about PLC integration via Master Unit and MODBUS, system security and container procedures, IoT app development with the use of home automation, SCADA, DAQ, and Thingsboard, media solutions based on PiSignage, as well as energy-efficient power configurations. These guidelines are meant to assist users in optimizing the functionality of the ALPON X4 for industrial and IoT-based deployments.

The ALPON X4 can be registered by scanning the QR code on the device for automatic setup or manually through the Sixfab Connect platform, securely linking the device to the user account.

The ALPON X4 has a variety of optional accessories to enhance its installation and function capabilities. The DIN Rail Mount Kit allows the unit to be mounted securely on DIN rails for tidy industrial installations, while the Wall Mount Kit provides an easy method of mounting the device on workshop or office walls. For outdoor or indoor installation, the IP67 Outdoor Combo Antenna has LTE, Wi-Fi, and GNSS connectivity, with rain resistance but not complete waterproofing. GPIO Expansion modules, cable-with or cable-without options, provide extended input/output capability for customized integrations and high-level applications. The Terminal DC Power Adapter provides secure and stable screw-terminal connections for industrial power demands. In addition, the Port Protection Cover Kit protects ports and connectors from dust to ensure long-term reliability in challenging environments.
